Workshop
Every mathematical space should have a Math Advocate. Does Yours?

No individual, institute, or organization in mathematics can deem themselves as successful without members who advocate for their marginalized populations. Math Advocates are developed through hard work and commitment. Does your organization have people who are willing to exemplify care, commitment to action and courage, and willing to collaborate to create community of like minded individuals? If so, then this advocacy workshop can help facilitate this transition to being a better advocate.

This 4-session workshop is based on our successful implementation of the series "Advocating for Students of Color: There is more you can do!" and includes pre and post-workshop assignments on advocacy topics. The program helps individuals, institutions, and organizations begin, continue, and expand their journey to become math advocates not only in mind but in heart.
